PARTNERSHIP PUBLISHING SERVICES

nappyedges2What is the difference between Traditional Publishing, Self Publishing and Partnership Publishing?

Traditional Publishing, or TP, is a company that employs full-time editors, cover artists, in-house attorneys and support staff needed to publish a book.  When you submit your book and the TP accepts it, they will pay you an advance and begin the publication process. They take on the financial risk of publishing the book. The author pays nothing.  The TP will usually pay the author 4%-10% to in royalties.  An average run for an author with a TP is 20,00=60,000 copies. The TP also has the legal right to change your characters and plot line, if they choose.

In Self Publishing, or SP, the author works with a printing company while taking on the total financial cost of publishing his/her book. The author pays for editing, formatting, and cover design. The author also pays to have the book printed, distributed and marketed. These services can all be done through the self-publishing company. However, the author has total control over the content of the book and receives the FULL purchase price of the book.  If you have your book sold at bookstores, they will charge up to 60% of the cost of the book.

Reflections Publishing, Inc. offers a unique version self-publishing called Partnership Publishing. We offer an umbrella of services; workshops and personalized support to help you complete and publish your book. We partner with you to turn your idea into a completed manuscript; provide publishing services and marketing strategies and packages to get your book sold. We create a supportive productive environment for the author, while helping them create, complete, publish and market their book.
